6:00 pm: 47 degrees recorded in the Jordan Valley
Arab Weather - The data received in the Arab Weather Center from weather monitoring stations in the Jordan Valley areas indicates that temperatures reached 47 degrees Celsius shortly before.
A scorching atmosphere currently prevails in the Tidah areas of the Jordan Valley, where these areas are affected by severe effects of the hot air mass.
It is expected that the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and parts of Aqaba will be more affected during the next two days, amid expectations that temperatures will approach 50 degrees Celsius in some of those areas. Temperatures are expected to decrease somewhat from Friday, with the weather remaining warm in general.
In light of these conditions in the Jordan Valley, it is recommended:
- Attention not to direct and prolonged exposure to sunlight in the afternoon and afternoon hours in various regions.
- Attention not to be exposed to direct sunlight at most times of the day in the central and southern Jordan Valley regions, including Ghor al-Safi in addition to Aqaba.
- Drinking a lot of fluids and refreshments, especially in the central and southern Jordan Valley regions, including Ghor al-Safi in addition to Aqaba.
- Do not leave sterilizers in vehicles.
- Be careful not to leave cigarette butts and picnic leftovers near grasslands and woodlands, for fear of fires.
