Arabian Gulf | Warning of dense fog concentrated in Qatar and Bahrain tonight and Tuesday morning

Arab Weather - The latest analyses of the outputs of the numerical weather models processed by the Arab Weather Regional Center indicate that there is a chance of fog forming in parts of eastern Saudi Arabia, specifically the city of Dammam and the surrounding areas, in addition to large areas of Bahrain and Qatar. It may extend to include parts of the coastal and inland areas of the Emirates, starting from the late night hours of Monday/Tuesday night until Tuesday morning hours.

Warning of dense fog and its effect on horizontal visibility

It is not unlikely that the fog will be dense at times, causing a decrease or perhaps no horizontal visibility for some time, which affects the ease of movement on the roads, especially the international road linking Saudi Arabia to Qatar. It is expected that the fog will begin to gradually disappear during the late morning hours as a result of the rise in the temperature of the Earth's surface.

The reason for the high chance of fog formation in these areas is the presence of very humid air currents, which causes the humidity level to rise to more than 90%, coinciding with calm winds and clear skies, where radiation fog forms.
