Jordan | A Siberian cold wave will hit the Kingdom next week, preceded by some rain

Arab Weather - Specialists at the Arab Weather Regional Center are still following up on weather maps and computer simulation results of the movement of air masses, which now confirm the rush of a very cold air mass of Siberian origin (with characteristics similar to those in the depths of winter) that is expected to affect the region next week and remain over the region for several days in the form of a strong cold wave.

According to the latest indicators at the Arab Weather Center, this cold wave is expected to begin affecting the Kingdom starting from the evening hours of Sunday 11/24/2024, as temperatures will drop significantly and sharply in large areas of the Kingdom, especially as time progresses from Sunday/Monday night, with active winds that will increase the feeling of cold.

This is preceded on Sunday by chances of some quick rain showers at the forefront of this cold wave. The chances of rain include several areas, but the nature of these rain showers will be quick and light to medium in intensity.

Monday/Tuesday Night: Siberian Cold Wave Deepens, Possible Frost in Wide Areas

Experts at "Arab Weather" said that the impact of this cold Siberian wave is expected to deepen during the night hours of Monday 11/25/2024 and the dawn and morning of Tuesday 11/26/2024, as another noticeable drop in temperatures occurs and the atmosphere turns to become very cold in different areas of the Kingdom to be inspired by the depth of winter. It is also expected that temperatures will approach zero degrees Celsius in the eastern plains and some high mountainous areas, especially the southern ones, with a high probability of frost formation in different parts of the Kingdom.

The earliest cold wave to hit in years

With the arrival of the Siberian cold wave at this time of year in November, it is considered the earliest in many years, as climate records indicate that the earliest cold waves that came to the Kingdom in November were in 2016 and at a much lower rate than what is expected during the coming week, in addition to November in the years 2011, 2004 and 2001.

The Siberian wave is coming to the Gaza Strip too!

The Arab Weather Center forecasts that this cold wave will also affect the Gaza Strip, where temperatures will drop to low levels and the weather will be very cold in the middle of next week, especially at night and early morning. In light of these forecasts and what the displaced people in the Strip who live in tents are still suffering from, such as the scarcity of clothes, bedding and blankets and the difficulty of providing them in light of the current circumstances that the Gaza Strip is experiencing, these forecasts cannot be viewed in isolation from what the people of Gaza are suffering from, which will exacerbate their suffering.
