<p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr">Arab Weather - The National Center for Wildlife Development revealed the monitoring of the sand cat during daily surveys in the Nafud Al Areeq Reserve, confirming the success of efforts to protect this rare creature in its natural environment. The center explained that this monitoring comes within the efforts to preserve biodiversity in protected areas, which reflects the beauty of wildlife in Saudi Arabia.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><h2 style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> First appearance of the sand cat in the Ibex Reserve</h2><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> Last February, the center announced the first sighting of the sand cat in the Ibex Reserve, highlighting the protection efforts and initiatives aimed at preserving endangered wildlife and rehabilitating ecosystems.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> In December 2020, the center stated via its account on the "X" platform that the sand cat lives in sandy areas, and is characterized by its great ability to adapt to conditions of water and food shortages. Its color is yellowish-gray with wide stripes on the extremities.
