Latest Updates: Tropical Bebargui deepens into a Category 3 hurricane
Weather of Arabia - The latest satellite images and data received show the evolution of the tropical state, Bebargui, into a third-degree hurricane centered in the northeast of the Arabian Sea at latitude 18.4 north and longitude 67.7 east. The surface wind speed around the center is estimated from 96 to 105 knots, and it is about 920 km away from the coast of the Sultanate.
And forecast maps indicate that the tropical cyclone will continue to move northward towards the coasts of Pakistan / northern India during the next few days, with no direct effects on the Sultanate of Oman or any other Arab country.
The sea will be rough on the coasts of the Sultanate overlooking the Arabian Sea, and its maximum height ranges from 3 to 6 meters, while the average wave will be on the rest of the coasts of the Sultanate, and its maximum height ranges from 1-2 meters.
