Weather of Arabia - During the past 24 hours, the government took a number of measures and decisions related to dealing with the Corona virus to prevent its spread from yesterday Saturday until Sunday afternoon, especially after the announcement of 10 confirmed cases of Corona virus.

The government announced yesterday, Saturday, the following decisions:

• Suspension of educational institutions (kindergartens, nurseries, schools, universities, colleges, training institutions and institutes) from Sunday morning, March 15, 2020, for a period of two weeks
• Travel procedures : In addition to what was previously announced regarding the suspension of flights to and from some countries as of Monday, March 16, 2020, all flights to and from the Kingdom will be suspended from Tuesday, March 17, 2020, until further notice, excluding commercial freight traffic. With the exception of cadres of diplomatic missions and international organizations, provided that the instructions of the Ministry of Health are complied with.
• Public events, religious rites, and tourism : stop all public events and gatherings. Instruct citizens not to gather at social events, including mourning houses and weddings.
• Preventing the supply and services of water pipes and smoking in cafes and restaurants. And authorizing the responsible official authorities to close any cafe or restaurant that does not abide by these instructions. Cafes and restaurants are required to maintain distances between places, according to the instructions of the Ministry of Health in this regard.

The King, upon his return to the homeland, heads a meeting at the National Center for Security and Crisis Management

His Majesty King Abdullah II, during his presidency upon his return to the homeland today, Sunday, stressed a meeting to discuss developments related to the emerging corona virus, the need for continued readiness to confront all developments related to the virus, and continuous communication and transparency with citizens, so that everyone is comfortable and confident in the procedures.

His Majesty stressed the need for continued cooperation and coordination between all institutions to deal with developments related to the virus, and His Majesty said that we have a great responsibility, by continuing to provide all necessary services to citizens in the health, education and supply fields.

His Majesty the King pointed out the importance of providing medical equipment and tools for detecting the virus and the appropriate ways of health care for patients, within the best international standards, and His Majesty said, "What I have is more important than the safety of the Jordanian citizen."

His Majesty affirmed the need to have a continuous evaluation of distance education for school and university students, in order to develop and modernize it. In this regard, His Majesty stressed that the educational process must be continued.

With regard to the availability of food supplies, His Majesty stressed the necessity of a clear plan regarding the strategic stock in the event that international trade is disrupted and the borders are closed.

The local administration ministry takes precautionary measures against Corona

On Sunday, the Ministry of Local Administration issued a circular to municipalities and joint services councils on the need to take preventive measures to limit the spread of the Corona virus.
One of these measures is to focus on public cleanliness campaigns, and to provide sterilizers for municipal entrances and auditors' frequency. The Ministry called on the owners of restaurants, shops and malls to secure sterilization materials and provide all means of public safety,

Directing health monitors to intensify health control campaigns, sterilize containers and mechanisms for collecting waste and tanks through washing and sterilizing them continuously.
