Hurricanes, difficult weather conditions, and the death of at least 3 people in the United States
Arab Weather - Last week, most parts of the United States were exposed to harsh winter weather, and weather experts expected that the cold wave would continue for weeks in various regions, in addition to heavy rainfall in the east of the country and heavy snowfall in parts of the Pacific Northwest.
At least 3 people died
According to reports issued by the authorities and local media, strong winds and tornadoes swept through parts of the southern United States last Tuesday, and at least 3 people died due to weather-related causes in Alabama, North Carolina, and Georgia.
Hurricanes caused severe damage in parts of Florida, according to Reuters, and the Meteorological Service indicated that heavy rains and strong winds affected a large area of the East Coast last Tuesday and Wednesday.
Weather experts expected continued rainfall over large areas of the northeastern United States. Heavy snow fell early last week, which increased the risk of major floods there.
The severe weather comes in the wake of a record number of disasters that the United States witnessed and spent "billions of dollars" on last year, and the storms caused power outages to more than 418,000 homes and businesses in 12 states last Tuesday.
