`The World's Largest Organic Farm` .. Two Certificates from `Guinness` for a Saudi Company
Arab Weather - His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Nawwaf bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Jouf Region, praised the great support provided by the wise leadership to Al-Jouf Region in various developmental and economic fields, pointing to the special attention the region receives in the fields of environment, water and agriculture. His Highness stressed that the region has witnessed the implementation of many development projects that enhance self-sufficiency efforts and achieve food security in the Kingdom.
Handing over my Guinness World Records certificates
This came during His Highness’s patronage of the ceremony of handing over the two Guinness World Records certificates, which were handed over by Guinness World Records representative, Kanzi bint Imad Al-Dafrawi, to the CEO of Al-Jouf Agricultural Development Company, Eng. Mazen Badawoud. The event was attended by the Director General of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture branch in Al-Jouf region, Eng. Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al-Rujaie.
Prince Faisal bin Nawaf was briefed on the two Guinness certificates obtained by Al-Jouf Agricultural Development Company, thanks to its ownership of the largest organic farm and the largest modern olive farm in the world. His Highness congratulated everyone on this achievement, which reflects the great capabilities of the Al-Jouf region, and enhances its position as a major source of food security in the Kingdom, as well as contributing to achieving the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 in promoting sustainable agriculture.
For his part, Eng. Mazen Badawoud, CEO of Al-Jouf Agricultural Development Company, thanked the Emir of Al-Jouf Region for his interest and continuous follow-up of all initiatives aimed at serving the people of the region. He explained that Al-Jouf Region is a model to be emulated in many pioneering agricultural and environmental initiatives, including water purification efforts.
Organic Food Day
The awarding of the two certificates coincided with Organic Food Day, which highlights the importance of healthy food choices and affirms the commitment to achieving sustainable food security, in line with the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
