April rains revive the hopes of farmers in the governorates
Weather of Arabia - Yesterday, Wednesday, several governorates witnessed heavy rain, accompanied by intermittent hail, which revived the hopes of owners of summer crops and olive trees.
The governor of Al-Karak, Dr. Muhammad Al-Fayez, said that the governorate witnessed heavy rain this evening, indicating that no significant incidents were recorded in various parts of the governorate.
Al-Fayez called on citizens to stay away from torrents and valleys, to take caution while driving vehicles, to follow the instructions and instructions of the relevant authorities, and to report any emergency situation by communicating with the main operations room in the governorate center or the operating rooms opened by the concerned government departments.
Ajloun governorate also witnessed heavy rains, which led to a rise in the water level.
The director of Ajloun Agriculture, Engineer Hussein Al-Khalidi, said that these rains revive the agricultural season and increase the water reserve in the governorate.
The Director of the Salt Agriculture Directorate, Eng. Qais Abu Omaira, indicated that these rains, which are called in the popular tradition "the winter of April", revived hope among farmers with summer crops and breeders of livestock and productive trees, as they increased the soil's moisture and efficiency.
And Abu Amira indicated that the rainfall in the city of Al-Salt reached 91 percent of its general average, and this will have great benefits on rain-fed summer crops, spring cover, olive trees, and pastures, in addition to supplying groundwater and increasing the stock of dams.
