Usyk defeats Fury and becomes the undisputed world champion at “Ring of Fire”
ArabiaWeather - Oleksandr Usyk scored a split decision victory over Tyson Fury, to become the undisputed world champion in heavyweight boxing, in an exciting fight that took place at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The 37-year-old Ukrainian became the first boxer to hold all four major heavyweight belts at the same time, and the first undisputed champion since the reign of Lennox Lewis, which ended in April 2000.
Usyk started the fight well, but Fury was able to advance in the fourth round, directing strong blows to his opponent's body. However, the fight turned in Usyk's favor when he was about to drop Fury in the ninth round before its term expired.
Fury was able to hold out until the end of the fight, but he faced difficulties during the last three rounds of the fight.
