Instructions to prevent children from getting sick while returning to school
Arab Weather - With the return of students to schools in face education, children will be exposed to mixing with each other, which may spread infection and diseases, or children may catch infection from contaminated surfaces and places due to low health awareness and the absence of parental control, and although we will not be able to prevent children from contracting infection However, with some preventive measures, we can reduce the possibility of children contracting the disease, or strengthen the child's immunity to become able to resist the disease more, and here are some of these preventive tips and instructions:
1. Encouraging children to pay attention to personal hygiene, and washing hands with running water and soap for at least 20 seconds, and let this be a habit for them, especially before and after eating, and after using the bathroom, or touching contaminated surfaces.
2. Provide a hand sanitizer with the child and use it to sterilize his hands if the hands are not visibly dirty, but if they are dirty, it is better to wash them with soap and water.
3. Directing children to minimize touching the hands with the eyes, mouth or nose, especially if the hands are not washed, because the hands carry many viruses, and the eyes, mouth and nose are considered entrances that viruses may reach the body through them.
4. Warning children not to exchange greetings with hugs and kisses, to stay away from sick people and not to mix with them, or to use their tools.
5. Familiarize children with not to share their eating utensils (such as cups and spoons) with anyone.
6. Cover the nose and mouth when coughing or sneezing, using a clean tissue, or the elbow of the hand, and dispose of the tissue after that because viruses may live on the tissues for several hours.
7. Ensure that the school ventilates the classroom, because viruses spread quickly in closed spaces, and reduce the overcrowding of children in the classroom or in the corridors.
8. Ensure that the child is warm in cold weather, and that the temperature is moderate in the classroom.
9. Providing complete meals for children that contain vitamins, minerals and proteins that they need, especially foods that help the child fight diseases and strengthen immunity.
10. Wearing the muzzle in the event that a family member is infected, to prevent the transmission of infection to children, with the need to refrain from kissing children.
11. Attention, in the event of symptoms of the disease on the child, not to send the child to school, and to see a doctor.
