Replacing the covering of the Holy Kaaba after the dawn of the ninth of the month of Dhul-Hijjah
<p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"><strong>The ritual of Arabia</strong> - begins after the dawn prayer of tomorrow, Monday - the ninth of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah, the ceremony of replacing the covering of the Kaaba at the hands of (160) technicians and makers, according to the custom of the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque on this day every year.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> The old Kaaba covering will be changed with a new one, under the supervision and follow-up of the General President for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, Sheikh Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Abdulaziz Al-Sudais.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> The Director General of the King Abdulaziz Complex for the Covering of the Holy Kaaba, Ahmed bin Muhammad Al-Mansoori, stated that after performing the Fajr prayer, the day after tomorrow, the ninth of the month of Dhul-Hijjah, the old covering of the Kaaba will be removed, and the new one, consisting of four sides separated and the door curtain, will be removed, as each side is lifted from The four sides of the Kaaba separately to the top of the Holy Kaaba in preparation for spreading it on the old side.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> He explained that the side is fixed from the top by tying it and dropping the other end of the side after the ropes of the old side are loosened, by moving the new side up and down in a permanent movement, after which the old side falls from below and the new side remains, and the process is repeated four times for each side until it is completed. The dress, then the belt is weighed on a straight line on the four sides by sewing it.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> And he added: This process starts first from the side of the garment, because there is a gutter that has its own hole at the top of the garment, and after all sides are fixed, the pillars are fixed by sewing them from the top of the garment to the bottom, and after completing that, the curtain that needs time and mastery in work is placed, and that By making an opening estimated at the size of the curtain in the black cloth, which is estimated at 3.30 meters in width until the end of the garment, then three holes are made in the black cloth to install the curtain from under the cloth, and finally the ends are fixed by sewing them into the black cloth on the garment.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> He pointed out that he works in the King Abdul Aziz Complex for the Kiswa of the Holy Kaaba, about (200) makers and administrators, all of whom are trained, qualified and specialized citizens, indicating that the departments of the complex are: the dyeing department, the automatic weaving department, the manual weaving department, the printing department, the belt department, the doctrines department, and the sewing and assembling department of the Kiswa. Which includes the largest sewing machine in the world in terms of length, as it is 16 meters long and operates with a computer system, indicating that there are some supportive departments such as: laboratory, administrative services, quality, public and health relations for workers, and occupational safety in the complex.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> And he indicated that the cladding consumes about 670 kilograms of raw silk, which is dyed black inside the complex, 120 kilograms of gold wire and 100 kilograms of silver wire.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> Al-Mansoori stated that the kiswa is covered from the outside with inscriptions woven with black threads (in a jacquard way) on which are written the words (O God, O God), (There is no god but God, Muhammad is the Messenger of God), (Glory be to God and His praise), (Glory be to God the Great) and (Oh my God).
