Al-Zaaq explained that the weather phenomena witnessed by the UAE, Oman and Yemen, including strong winds and heavy rain, were the result of an interaction between different weather factors, as the distinctive characteristics of a hurricane and a storm combined.

In a video he posted on his “X” account, Al-Zaaq explained that the Asouf, as understood by the Arabs, means strong winds that rotate in a circular manner and reach high heights in the sky, similar to the shape of a column.
