Georgia Aquarium.. the largest aquarium in the world

The Georgia Basin is located in downtown Atlanta, Georgia, USA , across from Centennial Olympic Park, next to Coca-Cola World and CNN Travel Studios. It is open 365 days a year, and tickets can be purchased in advance online with a variety of options.
The basin opened in November of 2005, with $250 million financing from Bernard Marcus, co-founder of the giant American company Home Depot, which specializes in selling construction tools, products and services.
The largest exhibit in the aquarium is home to four whale sharks, four devil or manta whales, not to mention the many species of whales, penguins, dolphins and sea otters, as well as opportunities for swimming and diving, and do not miss the dolphin exhibit and its amazing shows that highlight the emotional connection between dolphins and humans.
The Georgia Aquarium is the only institution outside of Asia that is home to whale sharks, and these sharks are kept in a huge 24-million-liter (6.3-million-gallon) tank in the Ocean Voyager exhibit.
There has been considerable controversy over the Georgia Aquarium's decision to house whale sharks, and concerns about the preservation of whale sharks in captivity have grown after the deaths of two whale sharks previously obtained.
