Jordan | Rain of varying intensity at dawn and Wednesday morning in the north of the Kingdom and the capital, Amman, and a warning of fog in the highlands.
Arabia Weather - Irbid, Jerash, and Ajloun, in addition to large parts of the capital, Amman, are currently exposed to rain showers of varying intensity, coinciding with the Kingdom beginning to be affected by an air depression classified as second-degree, according to the Arab Weather Depression Severity Index.
It is expected that during the coming hours of Wednesday morning, the Kingdom will be increasingly affected by the depression, and thus the weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy at times, with rain falling from time to time, and the rain will be heavy for short/temporary periods, especially in the southern mountainous highlands.
There will also be a clear drop in temperatures on Wednesday, becoming 2-3 degrees below average, and the weather will be cold in general.
Winds will be westerly, moderate to active, with strong gusts in the noon and afternoon hours, causing dense dust waves in all desert areas and roads.
Recommendations:
- Be careful of strong winds and heavy dust on various desert roads, including the desert road leading to Aqaba and the border crossings with Iraq and Saudi Arabia.
- Watch out for fog formation over mountain highlands
- Warning of flash floods, especially in the southern highlands
