The Jordan Trail Association organizes this event annually with the aim of promoting the Jordan Trail and achieving financial returns that contribute to the sustainability, development and demarcation of the trail, in a way that serves the local communities in the villages through which the trail passes; giving participants the opportunity to interact with the people of those villages and learn about their culture and customs, in addition to enjoying the trail’s diverse terrain and the dozens of archaeological and historical sites through which it passes.

The Jordan Trail Association organizes this event in strategic partnership with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, the Jordan Tourism Board, and the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority. Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah also joined the participants in the Jordan Trail Hike for two consecutive years, 2017 and 2018. In addition, Her Majesty visited the trail on other occasions and instructed the support of a number of local service providers on the trail and provided them with the necessary needs to improve the level of service provided to tourists through grants provided by the Royal Hashemite Court.
