Jordan | Public Security: Winter campaign to ensure vehicle readiness begins today

Arab Weather - The Public Security Directorate launched a winter traffic campaign today, Saturday, aiming to ensure the readiness and safety of vehicles to drive safely during the winter. This campaign seeks to reduce road accidents, protect lives, and provide a safe traffic environment.

The Traffic Departments and the Royal Environment Protection Department, in coordination with technical teams from the Maintenance Department, are cooperating to implement the campaign. The campaign includes examining the technical aspects of vehicles to ensure their ability to withstand harsh winter conditions.

Comprehensive vehicle inspection

The campaign includes checking the validity of the basic parts of the vehicle, such as tires, lighting, glass, wipers, engine water, in addition to the heating system in public vehicles. Any deficiency that affects the safety of the vehicle and road users will be addressed.

Exam Success Notices and Stickers

Owners of vehicles that pass the inspection will receive a sticker placed on the windshield, while owners of vehicles requiring maintenance will be given a notice (without a fine) with a one-week grace period to carry out the necessary repairs.

The Public Security Directorate called on citizens to cooperate with its field teams, follow instructions, and perform the necessary maintenance on their vehicles to ensure their safety and the safety of others during the winter season.
