Jordan | The government reveals the average prices of sacrificial animals
Weather of Arabia - Minister of Agriculture, Engineer Khaled Al-Hanifat, said that the number of livestock imported from various origins reached 600,000 heads from the beginning of this year until the end of last May, and that there are about 300,000 local heads.
Al-Hunaifat added during the government communication forum on Tuesday that the available sheep in preparation for Eid Al-Adha are about 600,000 heads of local and imported sheep, with 250,000 local and 350,000 imported, while there are about 15,000 heads of local and imported calves, in addition to 800 heads of camels.
Prices of sacrifices in Jordan
He pointed out that the prices of sacrifices depend on the weight of the sacrifice and the quantities offered, expecting the average price of municipal livestock to reach between 230 and 280 dinars per head, and imported livestock between 180 and 220 dinars.
Al-Hunaifat confirmed that there are about 600,000 livestock ready for Eid Al-Adha, pointing out that the local market’s need ranges between 250 and 350,000 heads, which means almost double the quantity required in the market.
