Jordan | A circular to open mosques for shelter during the prevailing weather condition
Weather of Arabia - The Ministry of Endowments, Islamic Affairs and Holy Sites circulated the need to open all mosques in the Kingdom as shelter centers during the prevailing weather conditions in most regions
And the Minister of Awqaf, Islamic Affairs and Holy Places, Dr. Muhammad Al-Khalayleh, decided to allow the empty residences of employees, “imams and muezzins”, to be used as shelters for all those who are stranded or exposed to any damage as a result of the expected weather conditions.
In a circular he issued today, Monday, to all directorates and offices of endowments in various regions of the Kingdom, Al-Khalayleh stressed the need to cooperate with various parties to provide assistance to those affected by opening mosques.
It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Awqaf has been diligent every year and during the winter season to open mosques to shelter all stranded people, and to provide them with the necessary assistance.
