Jordan | Autumn fluctuations are clearly evident in the Kingdom’s atmosphere in the coming days, and sharp temperature differences are expected
Arab Weather - Weather experts at the Arab Weather Center said that the latest advanced computer outputs from numerical computer models show that the Kingdom will be affected in the coming days by significant weather and temperature fluctuations, with which the risks of contracting colds and influenza increase, especially for children. The temperature fluctuations in the coming days require starting to wear warmer clothes after reducing them in light of the noticeable rise that has recently occurred.
Gradual decrease in temperatures on Sunday and Monday
Temperatures are expected to drop on Sunday and Monday, God willing, to be around their average for this time of year. The weather will be generally moderate, tending to be hot during the afternoon and evening hours, especially in low-lying areas, while it will be relatively hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba. The winds will be northwesterly, moderate in speed, sometimes active in the afternoon and evening. During the night hours, minimum temperatures will drop compared to previous nights, and the atmosphere will be cool to relatively cold, especially at dawn and early morning with the appearance of low clouds. The morning temperatures require school students to wear warmer clothes.
Autumn air mass affects the Kingdom on Tuesday and Wednesday, with a noticeable drop in temperatures
Weather forecasters at the Arab Weather Center indicated that the latest advanced computer outputs indicate that the Kingdom will be affected, God willing, on Tuesday and Wednesday by a humid autumn air mass, and thus temperatures will drop significantly to be lower than their average for this time of year by about 3-5 degrees Celsius, and the weather will be relatively cold autumnally in the early morning over the mountainous heights and pleasant the rest of the day, and amounts of low clouds will appear so that the weather will be partly to mostly cloudy, and scattered showers are likely to fall in limited parts of the north and center of the Kingdom.
Active northwesterly winds and possible dust waves in desert areas
Moderate northwesterly winds will blow over the Kingdom during the period of influence of the moderate air mass, accompanied by strong gusts that sometimes exceed 50 km/h, stirring up dust and may form dust waves in the desert areas of the Kingdom, which will cause a decrease in horizontal visibility. The dust waves include desert roads such as the desert road, the Baghdad International Road, and the Trebil border crossing, especially on Tuesday.
Relatively cool nights, requiring warmer clothing.
Night temperatures drop in conjunction with the autumn air mass, and the weather is relatively cold, especially over mountain peaks and eastern plains, which requires wearing warmer clothes, in conjunction with a noticeable increase in surface humidity levels with the appearance of low clouds, which may lead to the formation of fog over some high mountain heights, especially the northern ones.
Temperatures to rise again starting Thursday
Temperatures will gradually rise again starting from Thursday and will increase on Friday and Saturday, so that the weather will return to being moderate autumnal over the mountains and tending to be hot in the lowlands, God willing.
