Arab Weather - The Kingdom witnessed heavy snowfall in the evening and night hours of Wednesday / Thursday over mountain heights of more than 800 meters, especially in the north and center of the Kingdom, including the capital, Amman, and the snowfall in some periods extended to mountainous heights without that and ineffective to the contrary What happened in areas with a height of more than 800 meters, where the heavy and accumulating snow caused the closure of roads and impeded traffic, but it is expected that the quantities of snow will begin to melt over the heights that will be identified in this report, leading to the formation of torrents, especially in the northern and central regions.

The heights that the snow will start to melt in chronological order!

1- From today until Friday evening and night : mountainous heights of less than 1000 meters in the north and center of the Kingdom will start to melt snow, leading to the formation of torrents in valleys and low areas in addition to the high level of water in the roads.

2- From Friday night until Saturday morning : Snow begins to melt over mountain heights that are less than 1,200 meters above sea level, leading to an increase in the formation of torrents in valleys and low-lying areas and a rise in water levels in the roads.

3- The late morning hours of Saturday : the snow begins to melt over the mountain heights of 1,200 meters above sea level, and the snow also begins to melt over the mountain heights that rise more than that, causing the continuous formation of torrents in valleys and low-lying areas. Floods that may be formed due to the melting of large amounts of snow in various regions of the Kingdom.
