Jordan | Dense fog expected on Saturday/Sunday night and decreased horizontal visibility

Arab Weather - The latest output of the numerical models processed by the Air Operations Department at the Arab Regional Weather Center indicates a significant increase in surface humidity levels on Saturday/Sunday night to exceed the 90% barrier in many areas, coinciding with the coldness of the surface of the earth and the decline in wind speed with Night falls, when weather conditions are ripe for the formation of fog in large areas of the eastern plains and valleys, in addition to the Badia regions.

Fog may be thick and include windowed desert roads

The fog starts from the late night hours and continues until the hours of Sunday morning and includes opportunities for fog formation, including some mountainous heights, in addition to windowed desert roads such as the desert road and the Badia road, in addition to the area of Queen Alia International Airport and its environs.

It is not excluded that the fog will be thick at times, causing a decrease and possibly a lack of horizontal visibility.

In such weather conditions, the Arab Weather website advises the need to pay attention while walking on roads that witness the formation of fog, reduce speed and use vehicle lamps designated for driving in foggy conditions.
