Jordan | Arab Weather issues climate statistics for summer 2024

Arab Weather - With the end of summer from an astronomical perspective, the weather forecasting department team at "Arab Weather" issued statistical forecasts for the summer of 2024, which include temperature rates for each month and the number of heat waves that affected the Kingdom, in addition to the highest temperatures recorded in the capital, Amman, and the Kingdom.

In detail, weather forecasters at "Arab Weather" said that the current summer season began with hot to very hot weather and very high temperatures in various regions of the Kingdom. The Kingdom witnessed two heat waves in June 2024, during which the temperature rose significantly in the capital Amman and various regions of the Kingdom.

While the weather systems differed in July and August, as the Kingdom was not affected by any heat waves or significant rise in temperatures, unlike June. The weather systems affecting the Kingdom were characterized by the absence of heat waves and hot air masses, and temperatures in the capital Amman recorded temperatures around average on various days in August and July. In fact, the Kingdom was affected in August by air masses with temperatures lower than their usual averages and humid, and the weather at night was generally moderate.

The average maximum temperature at Amman Civil Airport in the capital Amman reached 36.2 degrees Celsius, which is 5 degrees Celsius higher than the general average.
