Jordan | An official holiday for the employees of the Greater Amman Municipality on the occasion of City Day and various activities to celebrate the occasion

<p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"><strong>Weather of Arabia</strong> - The Mayor of Amman, Dr. Youssef Al-Shawarbeh, decided to suspend the official working hours of the Greater Amman Municipality employees for next Thursday, March 2, on the occasion of the city&#39;s day.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> The Greater Amman Municipality will celebrate next Thursday the city of Amman, which has been adopted on the second of March every year as a date to celebrate it, to evoke the history of the city of Amman, anticipate its future, and keep pace with its development through service development projects.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> The Municipality of Amman has prepared a festive program for this occasion, as the Mayor of Oman, Dr. Yousef Al-Shawarbeh, will sponsor on the evening of Thursday, March 2nd, the Omani festive evening, which will be held in King Faisal Square in the center of the capital, Amman.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> The ceremony program includes the distribution of free books, performances of Jordanian folklore presented by the Amman Municipality Band, musical compositions by the Armed Forces Band, a presentation of the Public Security Ceremonies group - cavalry, balcony music show - Jordanian traditional songs - as well as giving a festive space to children with face painting and balloons.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> On the occasion of Amman City Day, the Municipality announced the launch of the photography competition (Amman with our eyes), and next Friday it will organize a sporting activity for amateurs riding bicycles on Sixtieth Street.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> The Municipality has also allocated various activities on this occasion that will be held over the coming days, including cultural, artistic and sports activities and events, the details of which will be announced on the official social media pages of the Greater Amman Municipality. People can practice sports, in addition to free entry to the museums of cars and tanks, the Jordan Museum, the Children&#39;s Museum, and the Amman Museum, as well as illuminating landmarks in the city (the Citadel Mountain, the city hall, the Abdoun Bridge, and the Roman amphitheater).</p>
