Arabia Weather - Weather forecasts at the Arab Weather Center still indicate that heat waves will move away from the Kingdom in the coming days, and this is due, God willing, to the nature of the prevailing weather system in the northern part of the Earth.

The weather specialists at the Arab Weather Center said that the atmospheric system in the northern part of the Earth is still producing cold upper basins and pushing them towards parts of the European continent. These upper basins, as they continue to move towards the east, act as a buffer for the tropical air highs, and thus prevent them from deepening towards... The Eastern Mediterranean and the Levant regions are immune to the formation of any heat waves.

Similar to last year, specifically the month of July, and returning to the Kingdom’s climate archive, we find that the Kingdom was affected in the month of July 2023 by two heat waves, the first of which was in the period (12-16) July, as the Ghor Al-Safi weather monitoring station recorded the highest maximum temperature during this period. It reached 46.2°C on 07/13/2023, and the Amman Civil Airport monitoring station recorded the highest maximum temperature on the same day, reaching 38.6°C.

As for the second heat wave, it was in the period (23-29) July, when the Ghor al-Safi weather monitoring station recorded the highest maximum temperature in this period, reaching 46.7°C on 07/25/2023, while the Amman Civil Airport monitoring station recorded the highest maximum temperature in On the 28th of the same month, it reached 37.5°C, as the average maximum temperature for the month of July 2023 at Amman Civil Airport reached 35.0°C, an increase over its general average of 2.2°C.
