Arabia Weather - The Kingdom is currently living under the influence of a heat wave and a significant rise in temperatures, as a result of a hot air mass rushing across the desert of the Arabian Peninsula towards the Kingdom, which is the second to affect the Kingdom since the beginning of June 2024.

After Deir Alla, Aqaba records the third highest temperature on Earth

According to what was monitored yesterday in terms of temperatures at the “Arab Weather Center” and international monitoring centers, the city of Aqaba recorded extremely high temperatures of 47.8 degrees Celsius, which was thus the third highest temperature recorded on the face of the Earth during the last 24 hours, after it was recorded before that. The Deir Alla region had the highest maximum temperature on the face of the Earth on June 3, 2024, as it approached 50 degrees Celsius, after recording a maximum temperature of 47.9 degrees Celsius.

The renewed hot summer weather portends a hotter-than-usual summer for the Kingdom

The outputs of weather maps at the Arab Weather Center still indicate the continuation of the heat wave over the Kingdom during the coming days and the days of Eid Al-Adha, so that the weather remains hot to very hot in various regions of the Kingdom, especially the Ghori regions, the Dead Sea and Aqaba.

Weather forecasters at the Arab Weather Center said that with the continued renewal of hot air masses over the Kingdom and the approaching date of the summer solstice, special weather maps are still in the seasonal and long-term forecasts, indicating that the current summer will witness temperatures higher than the general average and a renewal of the air masses’ surge. Hot air towards the Kingdom, which, God willing, will lead to hot to very hot weather prevailing in various regions, which heralds a hotter than usual summer expected in the Kingdom.
