Jordan: A heat wave will affect the Kingdom in the coming days, and the weather will be noticeably warmer than it was recently.

Arab Weather - The latest weather map readings at the Arab Weather Center indicate that the Kingdom is expected to be affected by a warm air mass for several days starting from Tuesday, deepening on Wednesday, Thursday and the weekend, causing a noticeable rise in temperatures in all regions, in a completely different way from the past days.

In detail, the warm air mass is approaching the Kingdom on Tuesday, so temperatures will rise in all regions to be higher than their average for this time of year by about 3-5 degrees Celsius. The weather will be pleasant and sunny in most regions and warm in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba. Winds will be light and agreeable in the morning, turning to southeasterly in the afternoon and evening hours.

At night (Tuesday/Wednesday night), night temperatures tend to rise compared to previous nights, and the weather is generally relatively cold in most areas, especially during late night hours, especially over high mountainous elevations and eastern plains areas.

A warm air mass will dominate the Kingdom on Wednesday and Thursday, with an additional rise in temperatures.

The same outputs of the numerical computer models at the Arab Weather Center indicated that the warm air mass resulting from the rush of a cold air mass towards the Maghreb countries is expected to have an increasing impact on the Kingdom’s atmosphere on Wednesday and Thursday, so another noticeable rise in temperatures will occur to become higher than their averages for this time of year by about 6-8 degrees Celsius.

The weather will be moderate in most areas, tending to be hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, with maximum temperatures between the early and mid-twenties Celsius in neighborhoods of the capital Amman and many major cities, while they will be in the early thirties Celsius in the Jordan Valley. The winds will be southeasterly, light to moderate in speed, and may sometimes be active in some areas, leading in turn to an increase in the levels of dust and dirt in the atmosphere, especially in the afternoon.

During the night hours, there will be another rise in night temperatures compared to previous nights, and the weather will be pleasant in the evening and early night hours, turning relatively cold in the late night and early morning hours, especially over the high mountainous elevations.

More rise in temperatures on Friday and Saturday

God willing, the flow of warm air currents towards the Kingdom is expected to increase on Friday and Saturday, coinciding with the middle of the holy month of Ramadan, so that temperatures will rise further, becoming warmer than their averages for this time of year by about 10-12 degrees Celsius. The weather will be warm in most areas, and relatively hot in the Jordan Valley and Dead Sea regions, in addition to the eastern Badia regions, with maximum temperatures approaching the end of the twenties Celsius in the eastern neighborhoods of the capital, Amman. The winds will be southeasterly, moderate in speed, active at times, and working to increase dust levels in the eastern and desert regions of the Kingdom.
