Jordan | Will the eastern Mediterranean depression affect the Kingdom tomorrow?
Arab Weather - A low pressure system is currently centered over the Ionian Sea between the Italian islands and Greece, and dense bands of cumulonimbus clouds laden with heavy rains revolve around its center, coinciding with the blowing of very high-speed winds, the speed of which reached, according to the latest readings, about 80 km/hour, which causes severe disturbance of the waves within the framework of the centering of this low pressure system.
The depression is moving northeastward and has no impact on the Kingdom due to the distance of its center.
On Tuesday, the low pressure system is expected to move northeast before deepening into the Cyprus Basin and moving away from the region without any expected direct or indirect effects on the Levant and the Kingdom.
Weather forecasters said that this depression is considered the first air depression to form in the eastern Mediterranean basin this season, as it is accompanied by the rush of a relatively cold air mass that forms an air depression with a clear center around the Balkan countries.
Forecasts indicate that the low pressure system will be accompanied by a drop in temperatures in Greece, Serbia, Bulgaria and western Turkey, and will be accompanied by active wind speeds and heavy rainfall in those areas.
God knows best.
