Jordan | The Ministry of Local Administration declares a `state of extreme emergency` to deal with the expected weather conditions today
Arab Weather - The Ministry of Local Administration directed the central emergency rooms in the ministry, municipalities, joint services councils, and municipal affairs directorates in governorates and districts to "be ready and in the utmost emergency situations" starting from midnight Monday-Tuesday.
This measure comes, according to the ministry, to "deal with the weather situation, in which rain mixed with snow is likely to fall in some regions of the Kingdom, especially in the southwestern regions, according to what the Meteorological Department announced in its bulletin tonight."
The Secretary-General of the Ministry, Hussein Mhaidat, who is the head of the central emergency room in the ministry, asked the emergency rooms in the municipalities, the joint services councils, and the municipal affairs directorates in the governorates and districts to "follow up on the hot spots within their competencies, and immediately deal with any emergency events that may accompany the depression."
He also requested, "to inform the central emergency room of the ministry first-hand about the new developments in various regions of the Kingdom, and to coordinate and cooperate fully with the administrative rulers and other operating rooms of the Ministry of Public Works, Interior, Public Security, Civil Defense, the Jordanian Armed Forces and the Greater Amman Municipality in their regions, and to provide all efforts and capabilities available to them." To deal with emergency situations and events that may accompany the depression and the developments accompanying it.
