Jordan/Thursday: Renewed weather instability, concentrated in the northern Badia, calls for attention to the dangers of flash floods in those areas
Arab Weather - The Kingdom began on Wednesday to be affected by a state of atmospheric instability, and the Kingdom's sky was covered since the morning hours with quantities of clouds interspersed with some rainy and thunderous clouds concentrated in the eastern parts of the Kingdom, where thunderstorms and random showers fell in some areas there, leading to the formation of torrents in the Azraq region and some neighboring areas.
Thunder showers concentrated in the northeastern desert
The latest weather maps from the Arab Weather Center indicate that the Kingdom will remain under the influence of a state of atmospheric instability during the day on Thursday, as it is expected, God willing, that quantities of clouds will reappear during the daytime hours, accompanied by showers of rain that may be accompanied by thunder, concentrated in the northeastern desert of the Kingdom, and may extend to some areas during the afternoon and evening hours.
The weather condition is accompanied by active wind speeds sometimes during the formation of thunderclouds, which may lead to dust effects, especially in the eastern regions, and a decrease in horizontal visibility on some roads. We also note the possibility of the formation of torrents and flash floods in areas that may witness sudden and heavy showers of rain.
Recommendations:
- Beware of the risks of flash floods and torrents in the northern desert in particular.
- Stay away from valleys, torrents, ravines, and areas where water usually collects, especially in the northern desert.
And God knows best.
