Arabia Weather - The latest satellite images taken this afternoon, Friday 1/26/2024, indicate that the air depression “classified as third degree according to the Arabia Weather Index for measuring the severity of depressions” is positioned to the east of the island of Cyprus, and is accompanied by a cold air front that has crossed the north of the Kingdom and It is on its way to cross the center of the kingdom in the coming hours.

With the crossing of this cold air front, it is expected that rainfall will intensify in the northern and central regions of the Kingdom, including the capital, and will be very heavy and accompanied by thunder at times and hail showers that may be intense at times, especially over the mountain highlands. These conditions cause a significant rise in water levels, flowing through valleys, and the occurrence of torrents in low-lying areas and slopes, some of which are sweeping.

Gradually, with the night hours, the cold air front completes its crossing of the Kingdom’s atmosphere, extending the cold and cloudy weather and some rainfall to the Karak Governorate and also extending to parts of the Tafila Governorate, accompanied by hail showers at times.
