Jordan/Alert | A very cold night is coming to the Kingdom (zero temperatures and frost in large areas)

Arab Weather - Weather maps and the latest satellite images at the Arab Weather Center indicate that during this night, the amount of clouds will decrease further, and the coldness of the night weather will reach its peak. According to the Arab Weather Center, temperatures will drop further to be close to zero degrees Celsius in several parts of the Kingdom during the late night hours. In the Sharah Mountains, the Badia regions, and parts of the eastern plains, temperatures may drop below zero degrees Celsius.

With the appropriate weather conditions and the harsh cold weather resulting from the drop in temperatures to around zero degrees Celsius, frost forms in many and wide areas of the Kingdom, including the main cities, while the formation of ice in places of water accumulations is not excluded. Frost formation begins early in the night hours, i.e. Tuesday/Wednesday night, and intensifies and expands with time and continues until the late hours of Wednesday morning, especially in the desert, above the high mountain heights, and the eastern plains areas.

Wednesday: Gradual retreat of the very cold Siberian air mass from the region

Meteorologists at the Arab Weather Center said that the extremely cold Siberian wave will begin to gradually recede from the Kingdom on Wednesday. During the morning hours, extremely cold weather will prevail with frost forming in large areas of the Kingdom, and fog is likely to form in the Zizia area, Queen Alia International Airport, and some areas of the Badia.

As for the rest of the day, temperatures tend to rise slightly, remaining 4-6 degrees Celsius lower than their average for this time of year. The weather is less cold compared to previous days, but the weather remains generally cold with maximum temperatures ranging from 8 to 12 degrees Celsius in various regions, while it is pleasant in the Jordan Valley and Dead Sea regions with temperatures in the twenties.

Low clouds appear, especially in the north of the Kingdom, and the winds are light southwesterly.

Minimum temperatures to rise on Wednesday/Thursday night compared to previous nights

Night temperatures will rise during the hours of Wednesday/Thursday night compared to previous nights. The weather will remain remarkably cold in all regions, and very cold on the mountain peaks, especially in the south, where temperatures will approach zero degrees Celsius in those areas.
