موقع ArabiaWeather.com- أكدت الأرصاد الجوية الأسترالية أن جميع المؤشرات المناخية المرتبطة بتشكل ظاهرة النينو ترجح الاقتراب من المستويات المرتبطة بتشكلها.

 

وذكرت في بيان صادر عنها اليوم الثلاثاء، أن درجات الحرارة في مياه المحيط الهادي تجاوزت العتبة المرحجة لتشكل ظاهرة النينيو، بينما ضعفت الرياح التجارية خلال الأسابيع القليلة الماضية؛ مما يشير إلى حدوث اقتران بين ظروف المحيط والغلاف الجوي.  

 

وتتميز ظاهرة النينو المناخية بارتفاع درجة حرارة سطح المياه في المحيط الهادي؛ مما قد ينتج عنه موجات جفاف في بعض بقاع العالم وفيضانات في البعض الآخر، وتحدث  هذه الظاهرة كل 4 – 12 عاماً.

 

ويصبح الشتاء عند حدوث النينو أقل برودة من المعتاد، والأمطار أقل خلال فصل الربيع على شرق أستراليا وستكون درجة الحرارة أعلى من المعتاد في النصف الجنوبي من أستراليا.
