Al-Hiyari calls on electricity companies to implement their preparations for the winter season

ArabiaWeather.com- The CEO of the Energy and Minerals Regulatory Authority, Engineer Farouk Al-Hiyari, called on the electricity companies to apply their preparations to confront the exceptional weather conditions on the ground. This is to ensure the security of power supply, reduce outages to a minimum, and address electrical faults as quickly as possible.

In a press statement, he stressed the need for the companies to translate their preparations, which lasted for months, and included developing the readiness of the electricity companies to face emergencies of the electrical system, and to persevere in activating and developing the role of operating rooms and call centers around the clock, whether in the authority or in the electricity distribution companies, according to " Petra."

Al-Hiyari called on the companies to test emergency plans and address the weaknesses that accompanied the process of implementing the plans on the ground and take the necessary measures in this regard, stressing the authority's readiness to receive citizens' complaints around the clock, especially related to the performance of electricity companies.
