Al-Zaqaq: We will live the longest hours of the night with the beginning of the cold phase
Arab Weather - Dr. Khaled Al-Zaaq said that the cold weather phase will begin a month from now, which is the period that will witness the longest hours of the night and the shortest hours of the day in the year.
Al-Zaqaq explained that this stage begins when the sun reaches the Tropic of Capricorn, which is known as the cold phase of departure, in which it is said, “There is no cold until after departure,” meaning that the cold begins after the sun moves from the southern direction to the northern direction. During this period, we will experience the longest nights and shortest rivers of the year.
He added that the day at this time gradually begins to take its share of the night, as the night will continue to increase at the expense of the day in the northern regions of the equator, while in the southern regions of the equator, the population lives the summer during this period.
