Al-Zaqaq: The first 20 days of the Al-Mubarakiyah are like the Wasm season... and the cold weather suddenly comes upon us
Arab Weather - Dr. Khaled Al-Zaaq said that the first 20 days of the Al-Mubarqaniyah season this year will be similar to the Al-Wasm season, due to the continuation of the warm period, which led to the early emergence of spring.
Seasons and their characteristics
Al-Zaqaq explained that the year consists of several days, and each group of these days has certain characteristics that the Arabs called “seasons,” which are considered part of the Arab heritage.
Winds and seasons
Al-Zaqaq pointed out that each season has its own winds, such as:
- In the Suhail season, the humid southern winds blow,
- In the Wasm season, soft northern winds blow.
- In the Al-Mraba'aniyah season, cold northern winds blow.
The effect of warmth on the beginning of the square
Al-Zaqaq added that we are currently at the end of the Wasm season, which is followed by the Al-Murabba’aniya season. He explained that the first twenty days of Al-Murabba’aniya will be similar to the Wasm season in terms of rainfall that causes the growth of what grows in the Wasm. He also pointed out that many areas witnessed a “Wasm” this year due to the continued warm period, which led to the early emergence of spring, while winter this year came suddenly.
