Dammam also recorded similar temperatures of 49 degrees Celsius, followed by Qaisumah and Buraidah at 46 degrees Celsius, while Riyadh recorded 45 degrees Celsius.

Weather and climate experts in the "Arab Regional Weather Center" explained this rise in degrees to the region being affected by a very hot air mass accompanying the air rise in the upper layers of the atmosphere, and the increasing effect of the heat dome over the region, which works to trap hot air near the surface of the earth and prevent it from rising towards the above.

The weather forecast issued by the forecast staff at the Arab Weather Center indicates that the extremely hot air mass will continue to affect the region during the coming days.
