<p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr">Weather of Arabia - The Jeddah Astronomical Society announced the observation of the small crescent moon for the month of Dhu al-Qa'dah, which appeared after sunset on Thursday, May 9, 2024, as it moved toward the beginning of the night in the sky of the Arab world.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> The association confirmed in a post on its official Facebook page that the crescent moon will be easily visible with the naked eye on the western horizon, and indicated that this opportunity is ideal for astronomical photography enthusiasts.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> The Jeddah astronomer explained that the moon will be high in the sky after moving away from the glare of the setting sun. She also drew attention to the fact that during the next few nights, it will be noted that the unlit side of the moon’s surface will glow with a faint light, which is sunlight reflected from the Earth and falling on the moon.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> The association indicated that the moon reached its conjunction status on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at 06:21 AM Mecca time, thus ending a conjunction cycle around the Earth, and starting a new conjunction cycle.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> She explained that the crescent moon will become increasingly luminous day after day, and will rise high in the sky at sunset, and will remain for a longer period after the beginning of the night, because the moon is moving away from the location of sunset.
