Saudi Arabia | Video: After the Abha tornado. Will global warming generate a “tornado” in our region? “The predicate” explains
Arabia Weather - Dr. Abdullah Al-Misnad , former climate professor at Qassim University and Vice President of the Saudi Weather and Climate Society, presented an important question about the impact of global warming on the formation of tornadoes in our region compared to the United States of America.
Al-Misnad explained on the “X” platform that tornadoes, also known as tornadoes, form in our region over the sea and land, and despite their presence, they are often relatively weak, and their impact does not exceed the strength of the powerful hurricanes that strike the central, eastern, and southeastern United States.
The “predicate” was included; Two clips from Abha and Atlanta, and he said:
“The impact of the growing global warming on the world may surprise us with weather phenomena that are not familiar to our region, and God knows best.”
