Weather of Arabia - The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development in Saudi Arabia, in cooperation with the Emirate of Makkah Al-Mukarramah region, enabled Saudis and residents wishing to work during the Hajj season within the holy sites to obtain a work permit (Hajj Ajeer) through the Ajir platform.
According to the Saudi Press Agency “SPA”, the ministry, through this service, allows establishments operating during the Hajj season to issue permits for their workers in the holy sites and to temporarily employ Saudis and expatriates to cover their manpower needs during the season, as the platform’s “virtual labor market” It allows establishments - authorized to work during the Hajj season - to display their vacant job opportunities during the season via an electronic platform.
It is noteworthy that "Ajir" seeks to enhance flexibility and mobility with regard to the workforce in the Saudi market in order to cover the needs of establishments, raise the productivity and effectiveness of labor in the market, provide flexible solutions for business owners, transfer knowledge within the Saudi labor market, as well as reduce dependence on external recruitment .
The Ministry has set a set of conditions for admission to these jobs, such as:
- The applicant must not be less than 18 years old.
- The resident is on the job in one of the jobs, and the approval of the primary employer must be obtained before applying.
- Escorts can apply without fulfilling the previous two conditions if they are not registered in one of the jobs.
- Applicants follow to the immunized category (immunised potion - immunized two doses - immunized cured).
- The applicant does not suffer from any of the chronic diseases.
- Visitors cannot apply for these jobs.
