Saudi Arabia: Thunderstorms resume in several areas of the Kingdom over the weekend
Arab Weather - The latest weather maps at the Arab Weather Center indicate expectations that thunderstorms will resume in several areas of the Kingdom on Friday, especially the southwest. The same maps also indicate expectations that the seasonal rains will begin to recede in the Kingdom's regions starting from Saturday, God willing.
Areas covered by rain forecast in the Kingdom this weekend
The specialists at the Arab Weather Center indicated that it is expected that the cumulus clouds will increase again in the afternoon and evening hours of Friday over the heights of Jazan, Asir and Al-Baha, and may reach the southeast of Makkah Al-Mukarramah, accompanied by rain of varying intensity accompanied by thunderstorms with the flow of valleys and ravines in some areas. It is also not unlikely that the rain clouds will extend to parts of Tihama.
Seasonal rains are expected to recede in the southwestern and western regions of the Kingdom starting from Saturday and throughout the coming week. Despite this, thunderstorms will renew daily in the far south of the Kingdom and will be concentrated in the highlands of Jazan and Asir, and will be less intense and widespread compared to what was the case in the past weeks.
Temperatures remain around their usual rates, and the weather will be hot in most areas and very hot in the east of the Kingdom, while the weather will be generally moderate in the Sarawat Mountains, and the weather will be exhausting in the coastal areas overlooking the Red Sea due to the high levels of surface humidity.
