Dr. Talal Al-Maliki stated that an investigation is currently underway into the switch case that occurred at King Faisal Hospital, stressing the continuation of the investigation at all levels, according to what was reported by the Saudi Okaz newspaper.

The Taif Health Cluster decided to intervene in the case and summon the families of the two children to take DNA samples to confirm the lineage of each child and hand them over to their families.

The incident occurred about two weeks ago at King Faisal Hospital in Taif, and an investigation was opened to ensure that no error occurred in the delivery of newborns. Officials confirmed that if the error is proven, strict penalties will be taken against those who are negligent.
