Yesterday, the Haramain Express Train Station in Medina witnessed the smooth movement of the train fleet, and the accuracy of its arrival and departure times, as it transports hundreds of passengers, including pilgrims, Umrah pilgrims, citizens and residents, providing distinguished service through safe and regular trips.
The successes achieved by the Haramain Express Train project since its operation a few years ago have enhanced the operational capacity of domestic trips, especially during the Umrah and Hajj seasons, and increased the number of beneficiaries exponentially, which reflects the qualitative value of the project and the expansion of the circle of beneficiaries. This is evident in the ease of completing reservation services and the multiple appointments. Flights, and quick arrival to the destination, especially between the Two Holy Mosques within a short time.

Haramain Express Train
Travel procedures via the Haramain Express train take a few minutes from the time of arrival at the train station in Medina until the traveler takes his seat inside the train. When the traveler arrives at the station, he begins simple procedures that begin with verifying the reservation information, then proceeds directly to the departure lounge on the upper floor to await the call to receive the flight passengers. The procedures for verifying the requirements for the luggage allowed to be carried then begin, and the traveler then moves directly to his designated seat inside the train, which consists of 13 cars, one of which is designated to provide food and beverage services.
A number of pilgrim travelers praised the quality of the transportation service between the Two Holy Mosques via the high-speed train, pointing out the easy and safe trips that transport them according to regular schedules around the clock.
Visitor Yahya Al-Sharqawi from the Arab Republic of Egypt says that he came to perform Hajj this year through King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, and moved via the Haramain Express Train station at Jeddah Airport directly to Medina to pray in the Prophet’s Mosque.
He praised the Haramain Express Train project and its role in facilitating the movement of Umrah pilgrims, pilgrims and travelers, and the ease of access between various destinations, stressing that this project reflects the great care that the Kingdom gives to the guests of the Two Holy Mosques.
While waiting for the first call to take her seat on the train heading from Medina to Mecca, visitor Anwar Badr from the Arab Republic of Egypt expressed her overwhelming happiness at coming to perform Hajj rituals this year.
She pointed out that the multiplicity of means of transportation between the Two Holy Mosques provides Umrah pilgrims and pilgrims with many options and easy transportation to pray in the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, and to perform Umrah rituals at all available times. She expressed her thanks for the optimal services provided by the Kingdom to pilgrims and Umrah performers, which reflects its concern for their comfort and care.
Visitor Ali Rajabi from the Islamic Republic of Iran also praised the comfort and ease provided by transportation via the Haramain Express Train, considering that this project represents a qualitative leap in the service of pilgrims and visitors coming from various countries.
The Haramain Express Train Station in Medina contains many services that travelers need, such as vehicle parking below the station, devices for electronic reservation and ticket issuance services, information and assistance offices, multiple arrival and departure halls, and seasonal halls for serving pilgrims. The station also includes multiple points of sale, including kiosks selling hot and cold food and drinks, companies providing housing and car reservation services, in addition to a permanent health center that provides health services for various cases within the station. The operational plan for the Haramain High Speed Train project forms part of the transportation system during the Hajj season every year, as it provides more than 1.6 million seats across 3,800 trips to serve the guests of God and visitors to Medina.
