Saudi Arabia | Possible weather phenomena during Saudi National Day outdoor events in the southwest of the Kingdom

Arab Weather - Sinan Khalaf - The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia celebrates the 94th Saudi National Day during the current weekend and early next week, coinciding with expectations of the continued flow of varying amounts of tropical humidity towards the southwestern sector of the Kingdom.

In this regard, the specialists at the "Arab Weather Regional Center" believe that the chances of weather fluctuations occurring in some of the highlands of Jazan, Asir and Al-Baha during the days of celebrations on the 94th Saudi National Day will be likely, specifically in the afternoon and evening hours, accompanied by the following phenomena:

• Cumulonimbus clouds appear in the afternoon and evening hours, and the weather turns partly cloudy to cloudy.
• Showers of rain sometimes fall, and it is not unlikely that they will be heavy in narrow geographical areas.
• The same rain clouds are accompanied by thunderstorms and possibly lightning.
• Downward winds that stir up dust and dirt during thunderstorm activity
