Arab Weather - Sinan Khalaf - The weather forecast staff at the "Arab Regional Weather Center" warned of renewed thunderstorms on the southwestern and western highlands of the Kingdom on Thursday and during the weekend.
Thunderstorms and rain expected
It includes Jazan, Asir, Al Baha, Taif, and parts of eastern Makkah
In the details, it is expected that the southwestern and western highlands of the Kingdom will continue to be affected by the flow of moist air currents that create unstable weather conditions, and thunderstorms will form on the mountains, and it is expected that it will include the heights of Jazan, Asir, Al Baha, parts of Taif and the eastern highlands of the Makkah region.
Forecasts indicate that the rains in the coming days will be of a local and random character, scattered, meaning that some residential neighborhoods may witness rain, while the weather will be stable in neighboring neighborhoods, while some of these rains may be heavy and accompanied by showers of hail.
The forecast staff alerts during the expected rainy situation from:
- Danger of severe thunderstorms and lightning
- The danger of flash floods in low-lying areas and mountain slopes
- Downwind associated with thunderstorms
- The intensity of hail showers, which may be accumulating at times
