Saudi Arabia: Initial indications of new rainy weather affecting the Kingdom in the last week of November
From the Arab Weather Center - The latest computer simulation results for medium-term forecasts indicate initial indications that Saudi Arabia will be affected during the last week of November by a new weather condition, which will lead to the return of thunderstorms to many regions of the Kingdom, God willing.
Preliminary details of the expected rainy conditions in the last week of November
The same results in the Arab Weather Center indicate expectations of a cold upper basin rushing from the north in the last week of November 2024, coinciding with an effective response to the Red Sea depression and the rush of moisture-saturated currents in the different layers of the atmosphere. This means the availability of many weather conditions and air lifting factors, and these weather factors work together, God willing, to form thunderclouds starting from some northern regions of the Kingdom and later extending to include parts of the center and west.
The specialists at the Arab Weather Center indicated that the final path and the extent of the cold upper basin’s deepening towards the region are still unclear at the time of preparing this report, as some weather maps issued by global numerical models indicate a direct impact on the atmosphere of the Arabian Peninsula, God willing, with the formation of thunderclouds over wide areas of Saudi Arabia, Iraq and some other Gulf countries.
Poor rainy season so far
There is no doubt that all parts of the Arabian Peninsula, including Saudi Arabia, are suffering from a weak rainy season so far, as many regions of the Kingdom, including Riyadh and Jeddah, have not witnessed any rainfall since the beginning of the Wasm season this year. This is due to the control of the high pressure system in the upper layers of the atmosphere for most of the past period, which formed a barrier to the deepening of the cold upper basins towards the Kingdom’s atmosphere. Also, the cold air of the Red Sea did not rush sufficiently to allow the formation of breaker clouds.
We ask God to give us rain and not to make us among the despairing.
