Saudi Arabia | “BON TUM” mayonnaise is the cause of mass poisoning in Riyadh, and this is what the founder of Hamburgini said
Weather of Arabia - In cooperation with the Saudi Food and Drug Authority, the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs revealed the discovery of “Clostridium botulinum” bacteria, which causes botulism, in a sample of “mayonnaise” produced by the (BON TUM) brand in the “Hamburgini” restaurant in Riyadh.
Immediately upon discovering the presence of this substance in one of the factories, the Ministry, in coordination with the Authority and the competent authorities, stopped the distribution and withdrawal of the aforementioned product from markets and food establishments throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Legal measures were also taken against the factory concerned with this violation.

The Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs, in cooperation with secretariats, municipalities and relevant authorities, continues its efforts in monitoring, investigation and control campaigns at the level of all cities in the Kingdom, with the aim of ensuring the safety of food products provided to the consumer. The Ministry and relevant authorities call on the importance of obtaining information from their official sources and not being led by circulating rumors and false news.
Regarding the “Riyadh poisoning” issue, Prince Faisal bin Bandar, Governor of the Riyadh Region, directed the need for the concerned authorities to quickly report the results of the measures taken regarding the cases of food poisoning that were detected in the “Hamburgini” restaurant in the city.
The investigation committees of the Riyadh Municipality announced their condemnation of the “Hamburgini” food establishments, and the application of regulatory penalties against the restaurant chain. The main factory and all branches of the facility in the two cities were closed for the legally prescribed period, in addition to disposing of all food materials present in the main factory and branches, while supervising the cleaning and disinfection of all...
