Saudi Health warns of the danger of seasonal influenza to pregnant women and fetuses
Weather of Arabia - The Ministry of Health in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia warned of the potential serious complications of seasonal influenza for pregnant women and fetuses.
The Ministry of Health said that women are affected during pregnancy and after childbirth by seasonal influenza infection, and the infection may cause serious complications for pregnant women, calling for vaccination.
And the Ministry stated, through its Twitter account, that the complications of influenza for pregnant women include “premature birth, admission or admission to intensive care, pneumonia, and severe complications for the fetus.”
The Ministry of Health affirmed that vaccination against influenza reduces by 50% the risk of acute respiratory infection in pregnant women, associated with influenza and laboratory-confirmed.
