The National Meteorological Center of China announced that temperatures will drop to around minus 40 degrees Celsius in some parts of the northeastern province of Heilongjiang, as well as in the western region of Xinjiang, in addition to Inner Mongolia, and the provinces of Gansu and Shanghai.
Snow and icy roads cause accidents and disrupt traffic
Snowfall, icy roads, and dense fog caused a series of accidents on many highways in Henan Province. Traffic authorities in Ningxia Province confirmed that some of these accidents led to the closure of some highways, causing a stifling traffic jam.
In the southwestern regions, parts of highways in Tibetan cities such as Shigatse and Nyingchi were destroyed. In the city of Shenyang, Liaoning Province, the authorities deployed 22,000 workers and more than 3,400 snow removal machines , where up to 12,800 cubic meters of snow were removed in the morning period on Friday.
The local government has mobilized 2,400 personnel and more than 3,300 metric tons of snow-melting materials and more than 23,000 cubic meters of anti-slip materials. Pictures published by state media show bulldozers being used to remove snow, while people are working on leveling roads.
515 people injured in two train collision in Beijing; Because of heavy snow

The Changping Transport Authority indicated that emergency teams, police and transportation authorities responded immediately to the accident, as all passengers were evacuated and the injured were transferred to the hospital, and while some passengers are still under observation, others are receiving treatment in the hospital.
Winter in Beijing is very cold, and although snowfall is rare, this heavy fall has caused the suspension of many means of transportation and the closure of schools.
