The most important of which is to provide stakeholders and decision-makers with documented scientific opinion on climate change issues, support and exchange of scientific and applied research on the atmosphere, management of weather and climate risks information, and of course meteorological services provided to various sectors, especially civil aviation, and meteorological awareness and information activities and programs, following up on aspects of cooperation with The World Meteorological Organization and relevant Arab, regional and international organizations cooperate with regional groupings and countries.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> The statement noted that in light of what the world is witnessing from extreme and violent unprecedented weather phenomena that have affected all parts of the earth, such as forest fires caused by high heat waves, severe drought and severe floods, the Meteorological Awareness and Information Committee, which includes experts from media centers and preparers of weather bulletins, issued In the Arab meteorological facilities, this year’s slogan is “Together we face extreme weather” to carry with it the efforts of meteorological services to reduce the impact of human and material losses resulting from this violent weather, through continuous and accurate monitoring of the weather and issuing early warnings to all concerned sectors, as well as mobilizing technical means and the human resources necessary to alert citizens and public authorities to adverse weather situations that may pose a direct or indirect threat to the safety of people and their property.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> He pointed out that the meteorological services, on this day, communicate with the media and all sectors of society, to raise awareness of meteorological sciences and their various activities, and to highlight the meteorological efforts in protecting individuals and property and the economic and social returns of meteorological services for all sectors.</p>
